Ok, this looked like it was gonna be really corny, so I was prepared for a waste of my movie money,
But since I heard worse reviews of AI, Fast and Furious isn't my taste (might catch it on video), Kiss of the dragon was out since I'm not really into seeing an action movies until they get to video, Cats and Dogs seemed to 'childish', and The Score seemed like I could figure out the plot with all the trailers I have seen, so It didn't leave me with many options.
....and in the end I was pleased with the decision of seeing this movie, it WAS funnny....even some scenes had the entire theather in an uproar of laughter going on for maybe 5-10 minutes. I think that even though this seemed to be aimed at teens, it was a funny movie for all. And I feel Reese Witherspoon has redeemed herself from the role she played in American Psycho. (which I think really sucked!) I think she played this well. (after all, how much does it take to play a SMART blonde?)
I think some parts were a tad slow, but it seemed to fit together well. There was a scene that was removed that was played in the trailers/commercials....the scene where Reese is in a bunny costume and everyone is 'betting how long she stays'. Which after being removed, made it a little less embaressing for her character. (which gives her more courage maybe).
I'd give it a 4 out of 5.
