wtf

You didn't have to talk down to him in challenging him to find a good $25 psu, I would have been ticked at your response too. But wouldn't you say the above is out of line. I hope you refrain from that anymore here.

Bad day at the office? :; :d

As a matter of fact Blade, yes, I did have a bad day at the office. I have to go to war against another team tomorrow over it. But I digress...

Someone calls me a dick, and uses commas to separate said name-calling, I don't take too kindly to it.

I shall vacation.

Is everyone here crazy or is it just me?

Err, never mind, don't answer that :)

Anyway I would say RAM first then video cards!

A mother board does it all and costs only $50-$150 for brand new, depending what you want.
Sound, USB, Ide controllers, etc.... even built in lan and video if you go for that type. All those caps, slots, sockets, bios, etc...

Hardrives, all the work they do and all the parts involved in making them. 100gig for $100 or less!

2500xp 333fsb retail with heat sink and fan, $90 look at all the work that does!

Video card? Decent AIW radeon 7500 for $125 or so new, with remote controll! Video card and video capture tv tunner ect... lots of parts and cables!

One tiny stick of ram with 9 - 16 chips? 512mb ddr about the size of 2 ciggerretes, $60 -$120 depending on speed and brand. Nothing there, nothing to it, cost more than large parts needing major assembly of componants and doing tons more work!

Yea, if you want the newest to hit the market video card the day it comes out or the same with a cpu,
then those are the most over priced. But if your shopping for the best prices on the best parts without being the first to have it, then Memory of decent size and speed is the most over priced for sure.

I would say power supplies, because powmax makes about 80% of all the PSU's out there, and their price rages jump... Look at the prices of powmax and enermax (made by the same company) same exact internals if they are the same wattage.

Antec doesn't make their own PSU's... Toppower makes them FYI
