Well, I was determined to try and get some files from that hard drive. Some do not work (says corrupted), but some do. Main thing I got my emails and address book. :)

Once I get all I can from it I'll do a low level and see what happens. Might still be ok. Or may just rma it.


The sparks (sounds good eh :d ) was from the under monitor surge protector that I've had for around 5 years or do. Got it free after rebate at compusa.

APC BackUPS 650 can be had for as little as $65 right now... i recently got mine at Microcenter
