I had to clean the brushes on a large DC motor that ran the 72" lathe. The MG hadent come to a compleat stop yet and i went to grab the bolt holding the brushes in and BOOM! nex thing i know im looking at the ceiling wondering what just happend. Luckly i wasnt hurt and nobody saw me do it!

This is the beast of a motor that caused this to happen. Ignore the 7.5 HP thing. thats just the electric box for runnig the brush grinder
Years ago I had to work on a hot generator for an old carbon- arc projector at a theatre.I think it was
an old Brinkert. That bastard had an output of about 44-60 VDC at about 120 or so amps and I bumped
an auxliiary generator with my elbow.I think there is a pice of my ass still hanging off the celing from that one.Yes, That stuff hurts. I have alot of respect and I don't think I'd trade your 600V bite for anything.
