there was a guide in english i think over at overclockers.com or somewhere - pretty simple you just lasso a couple of pins together with an ever so fine strand of copper wire - provided you can actuallly see the pins, of course :)

edit:

ok here it is go to http://www.overclockers.com > forums > Overclockers Forums > Overclocking > Intel CPU's

can't do a direct link :(

lil tip on the vid pin....

instead of using the lasso method just take a VERY small strand of wire and bend it into a "U" shape....drop it into the applicable holes and reseat proc...

mucho faster and easier imho...

(only works for 1.7vcore mod)

OK, i did more research on the Asus P4S533 (SiS645DX) mobo...
I'm loving the features:

Asynchronous CPU/DDR frequencies
CMedia sound w/ S/PDIF support
up to 2.9v for DDR voltage
+.2v over default voltage for CPU
FSB in 1MHz increments
Voice warnings for bootup errors
ATA133 support
DDR333 support

This looks like the one... and at $99 it ain't too bad...

Now can anyone tell me what the default voltage for Northwood processors are?

AFAIK all the Northwood A's are 1.5v

so without vidpinning plan on a max of 1.65v (real voltage delivered) with that board

Though there are northwoods out there running up to 2v and still going strong....mines been at 1.75 (real delivered) for about 6 months....they really handle high juice well....

on my 1.6a msi 645 ultra - default is 1.45, highest i can get is 1.54 - it's not all that stable at 2.4 with that voltage won't run folding/sandra burn in at the same time

like wolfe said, the factory spec is 1.5 i believe

i've also considered a Koolance case

Oh no, I'm not getting a case. I'm just buying their new CPU 200 waterblock, tubing, clamps, Eheim 1046 pump, heater core, and fan. I don't really know what I'm doing either but I'm gonna do it! Hopefully most of the stuff will be here tomorrow.

How Much do you plan to overclock to ?
If you arent going to be at least 2.0 at all times get RD Ram instead of DDR.
And Alpha Heatsink would most likely be your best bet.
Just my opinion, as I dont know anything anyway.

Shopping list:

1 hand gun

1 bullet

1 head

Got the picture? ;)

for P4 cooling I think the taisol is the most secure for the board. it doesnt let the board get al lbent out of shape like many of the other goolers do with there wacky clips and what not...but thats becides the point cause you wont be alive to see it. ;)
