Them there fans are your heat source. LOL I just pulled my Vantec HSF (has the screaming Delta on it) Re-applied some AS2 and the temp dropped 8ºF. Was at 131ºF, now it's at 123ºF. Case temp is 75ºF same as the house temp. I currently have a fan pulling air in the lower front, one intake low on the side panel, one high exhaust on the side panel, one exhaust just below the PS on the back. Holding steady at 123ºF on the CPU.
Heatsink on the:
Nic....Still gets Hot and Looks Good
Soundcard...ever touch those Live cards...they are HOT!
Adaptec. it is scsi and bussy....HUT
Tekram...Just looking good....Not hot
South bridge...Not Hot but it matches
Controler/multipler chip....HOT!
Those 3 phase thingies...they get hot
The Prob is this case is Just Full, does not have a PS that works as good as it can...the SUMB ass design does not have any slots on the Bottom so it Pulls NO heat out of the Bottom of the case Including the HOT ass cpu...and the only thing that is pulling heat out of the Bottom half of the case is a Lousy 60mm y's tech fan...so No I dont think the heatsionks are raising the temp of the case...what is raising the temp of the case is the 2 scsi cards, HOT tbird that is already Over clocked higher then anyone else Over got it...
4 scsi hd's tooling along at 10k...no I dont think a few puiny heatsinks are raising the temps all that much.

Hey, do what I do. Just run with the sides off. My system runs rock stable with a P3 550@733 and a Geforce DDR OC'd to 140/333 (stock fan on card). I have 0 case fans. What can I say, I am cheap .
I have been running this system since December. I get about 1 lockup every 6-8 weeks, give or take.

Nice system... and, as my intro post, I'd like to say "Good enough for the girls I go with."
