Memory Question

Post by Err »

I'm running my memory at the manufacturer's recommended timings of 4 4 4 12. I noticed yesterday that the memory is rated for 2.2V but the bios is setting it for 1.85 (Auto). I haven't had any stability problems so far. However, I was wondering if I should turn up the voltage to the manufacturer's recommended or leave well enough alone.

Agreed. Run MEMTEST86+ all night. If it's rock stable, leave it be.

Yeah I had the same issue with my new memory. The mfg recommends 2.1v but I left it at auto with the speed set to 800MHz even though I'm suppose to run it at 1066MHz with 2.1v. It passes memtest at the current setting.
