Does this look okay...?

Post by GuardianAsher »

Well, with my new 6800XT, which is nearly two inches longer than my 5600, I had to do a rewiring job on my computer once more. I tried to keep all of the wires out of the way of other things. I found a nice two inch deep, five inch long gap behind the 3.5" drive slots, and I put most of the wires back there. Need some advice.

mine looks worse cause of the shielding that enermax uses its really hard to move the wires around.

Thanks a lot for the input, means a lot to me ^^ My compy is my baby after all. Also, another question. Is it okay for me to run the HD, Floppy, and CD-ROM all off the same power cable? The PSU is modular, and each wire that comes with it has 3 molex connectors and a floppy connector. To reduce the clutter, I ran all 3 devices off the same cable? Is this safe? Or should I throw in another cable to power the CD-ROM? I put a seperate cable for the video, since the PSU came with one specifically for that. Also, the PSU is a 24-pin BTX plug. The mobo is a 20-pin ATX. It came with an adaptor, but I really didn't think it needed it since the 4 extra pins just hang over anyway. I plugged it in without the adaptor, and the 4 pins are hanging over the left side, near the motherboard. Should I use the adaptor, so the unused pins are further away, or is it okay like this?
