Ok, so the girlfriend was tired of always barrowing my brothers Digital Camera so this weekend she decided so put a digital on her BestBuy card because of the no % she has on it.
So she got a Sony DSC-P92 5mp Cam. and a SanDisc 256 Memory Stick Pro card.
So, I have an old Dazzle 6 in 1 reader that can read regular memory sticks, but it doesn't seam to be able to read the pro stick.
I know that normal sticks can't go above 128, but why would my reader not be able to read the 256?
Is there really that much of a deference that the reader can't read the pro?
I havn't really been reading up on all the Sony stuff due to I used my brothers Canon S330 with CF
"I'm seriously going to pummel you until you purr like a bitch-kitten!!"
I know it's a slightly diffrent format with some new technologies built into the PRO. Things like Magic Gate DRM default and their power interuption protection things. So your outta luck bud!
The Pro is not only faster at transfers, it doesn't have to be split into 2 parts like the older version. I recently got that exact same camera and a 256 Pro stick, the USB transfer works perfectly, XP treats it like a 256 MB HD, I think it's pretty cool!
The Pro is faster in order to support USB 2.0
I have the 717 camera with pro and non pro memory
I have found typically if the reader is USB 2.0 then it will read the Pro sticks.
Now what sux. Is my inlaws have a Sony TV with a memory stick reader in the front and it will not read the Pros
