What's the story on running both a cdrw and dvdrom on the same cable? I know back in the win98 days it was a bad idea and you'd get warning prompts from most burning progs etc., etc......
Have things changed with XP or is it still a funky setup? If not, which should be master/slave?
Anybody?

No problems here either. It's fairly common, and I'd rather have 2 optical drives on the same chain than a HD sharing a chain with an optical drive and being slowed down to udma 33 speeds.

That's all good.
Reason I ask is that if I enable my lone SATA channel on my mobo, it disables the primary IDE. Thus, I'd have to run both my burner and dvd together on the secondary IDE. But if that's not a prob, then I guess I'm good to go.
Thanks for the tips. 'ppreciate it.
