monitor question

Post by Floater »

hey all-
im setting up my new office and have a wiring problem. im looking to get a new 19" flatscreen and the best arrangement for me requires that I use an extension for the monitor cord. my question is if I use a 6' extension, will that noticably degrade the picture quality?

TIA

If you use a brand new one, that is decent quality you should be fine. Be sure to run the refresh as high as you can.

6 feet should be no problem. Shop around for a thicker extension cable thouhg. Cheap cables are very thin. The thinker they are, the better the shielding.
