chipset fan

Post by dezaster »

i finally got my comp up and running (sorta) and had everything set up and goin till i reallized that my chipset fan on my at7-max2 motherboard isn't movin at all. is there a setting i missed in bios or anything like that? or should i just search for another chipset fan? if so, what's a good brand?

also looking for a decent heat sink and fan for 2700+, suggestions? i've heard good things from thermalright's products but not sure if i trust myself mounting to my mobo.
thanks

Heatsink for chipset I would sugest one of ththese: http://www.zalman.co.kr/usa/product/nb32j.htm Big so it doesnt need a fan. As far as I know there is never a bios setting for a chipset fan it is ust suposed to be on.

Heatsink's for the cpu...you are right, the thermalright's are the best line out right now. I would go with the slk-800 or sk-7. both support a 80mm fan. instilation really isnt that hard and if you have anyquestions just ask or read our review of it with good instilation tips Here
