Live On, Or Mod On????

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

heh.. Who's ready for the dinosaur strip tease?? Got this old IBM server from my 2nd job. It's a P60-66 with 2, count'em TWO 2.5GB HD! and a FDD!! And are you ready for this??? 16MB of RAM!! WOW!! Amazing!! *laughs* What do you think I should do with her? Should I just pick up another board and mod the case as much as possible to adapt to a modern day server board? I hight doubt this thing could make a decent File Server.. I have TONS of RAM I could put in her, but I still don't think it would recognize any decent sized HD unless a PCI ATA card could fix that? What do you guys think/know? LMK TIA!! eGo... PS Enjoy the show!!!

I say mod it to accept a new computer... that case looks good.

yea, you will need a pci ide card if you want anything over probably 15-20g if not 4-8g :)

But yea, mod that SOB! one big fat window on the side and pop in some rounded cables. :) hehe
