got a laptop here, has 98se.
have a pc, installing 98 at the moment,
can i tape backup from the lappy to the desktop ?
got a segate tape backup drive here with a full 98 backup... is this possible ?

as long as they are connected some how and share`n is enabled on the LT

no no... guy took lappy on a business trip with him bout....2 hous ago, left me with his pc which his wife needs soon, i got the backup tape ready to go...can i do it with just the tape ?

so it is a full back up of the OS that is on the LT?




well if so, it might be possable. but then again it may not be because the motherboard is dif, there for all the drivers would be wrong.....

yes, and i need to make that backup work on the desktop.. the backup on the tape drive is full backup he said, the way the tape drive software is, that it will format the drive and install fresh from the backup... but this is a backup of the lappy, so will it work on the desktop ?

the drivers would be the only issue I would see being a problem.... I say give it a try

yea it worked ok, :P thx for the quick response, the drivers were a bit of a problem, but nothing i couldnt handel... now to remove format.com form the boot floppy this guy has...
