Are the fans spinning up? Any lights coming on? If you aren't getting fans or lights I would guess either a power supply or mobo. You probably have done it more than once but I would reseat the vid card memory and CPU and try booting with just those components a time or two more just to make sure. New boards are sometimes very picky about the way things are seated.

- connections correct from the power button to the mobo?
- any jumpers set right?
- anything shorting it out, touching any metal?
- have a beer
- try a different power supply
- reseat cpu, perhaps try another
- have another beer
- reset cmos
- if you try all the above and still no go, could be bad mobo
Doh! sorry dad, I am a slow typist. Good tips too of course.

- Also try re-seating the ram - make sure it's in the first memory slot. Most boards don't care which memory slot you use but some are fussy.
- Try resetting the CMOS
Is the board in a case or on the bench? Remove the board and put it on a box (box it came in works fine). Insert only the vid card and don't connect anything except the power supply and monitor. Use a screw driver to short the power switch header pins and see if it'll fire up.
If it works then chack the case for anything that may have been shorting out the mobo. Is there a metal mobo standoff in a location without a hole in the mobo? Perhaps you connected an LED to the reset header?
Hope this helps...
I always bench test a mobo out of the case first.

well thanks for the help guys, although its a bit late... we did figure out that the problem was the powersupply after all... everything was turning on, but the computer wasnt doing anything at all... no post nothing... it turned out that the extra 4 socket mobo adapter for the p4 boards wasnt gettina ny power, so after i switched his out with mine and it worked, we guessed it was the powersupply, and got a new one... but thanks for the help !
