I am probably wrong, but I don't think AMD makes a socket A T-bird 650. I'm saying this because I was looking at thier approved motherboards, and there was no option for a socket a 650.

This is probably a Slot A.

got mine today - it is a socket a tbird - not a great overclocker, though - right now it's not happy above 850 - guess i can live with that for an ~$80 chip :) :) - it was locked and had the green core - unlocked it with defroster paint (a whole lot easier the second time around)
