Just bought W2K and a computer show and installed it. It's great, feels and looks great. It was a little confusing at first to tweak the settings but in the end work out well.

I had a couple problems though, couldn't play games higher than 60hz but fixed it.

Only one more problem, no biggy though. Help would be much appreciated.

My harddrives seem to be very slow for some odd reason in W2K compared to W98SE. I used to score around 23,000 in SiSoft Sandra drive test but now I get scores of around 12,000. What could have happened ? Shaved off the score of my cpu as well byt about 500 - 1,000.

Can anyone shed a little light on this ?

Hmm. You should check out the drive resource center at http://www.storagereview.com/ , they might have a record of your particular drive there. Or maybe try another drive benchmarking program. I wouldn't trust SiSoft Win2K support 100% at this time. Good luck.

Maybe you have a HD running in UDMA 100 mode. Win2000 doesn't support that yet. Check if your HD is running in PIO mode. If so you have to put your HD in UDMA 66 mode. Your HD will run in UDMA 33 then. If you want UDMA 66 you have to enable it with a registry setting.
