hello my fellow freaks, here is the problem of the day. I am in need of a way to display the windows logon screen when i have only one user, and no password on that user. This is for a school purpose,so that the teachers donthave to go trought the logoff process, to then hit ctrl+alt+del to get to the admin account. these damn things are so slow, as you know that there are these things called budgets

but anyhow, i have been searching all day, and have found nothing, just wondering if any of you know this off the top of yor head -- Thanks !

If it's XP pro you could try turning off logon screens totally and have the 'kids' sign in via the classic 2k logon.
run > gpedit.msc > user config > somewhere in there is the option to whack off logon
Could also just have the 'kids' logoff before they leave so the admin can use ctrl+alt+del to login as admin.
Good luck

Do what CSS says - that restores the classic Win2K logon. Before doing that you should also go into User Accounts in Control Panel, click on "Change the way users log on or off" and disable "Use the Welcome screen".
Between those two you get the standard Win2K logon which will force you to ctrl-alt-del and enter a username (even if there's no password) to logon.
