Hello all you fellow people. :) i have a question for those of you who care to read it....

I am a novice Linux user, and an absolute I D ten (id10t) when it comes to programming anything. I am going to be starting a new Mod where I am going to put a small form factor mobo into the glove compartment of my Ranger. I was looking for a program that can act as a graphical interface to the user. Somethign that can accept both traditional imputs (keyboard/mouse) and a tochscreen. Someting that will run an MP3 player/DVD player/ and anything else that seems to be cool. If anyone knowss of a place to get such a beast or can compile one, I'm all ears.

To those who read this, thanks for reading.
To those who responed, God bless.
To those who can help, I love you.
to those who didnt read this, umm, guess you didnt read this part either, so nevermind.....

Hi Eldanno,

Check out some of the other car mp3 player projects for ideas. Most of the ones that use linux us XMMS and a custom plugin they wrote for it (That you can usually download from them)

Personally, I'd probably use Windows 2000 + Winamp + WInamp plugins because thats what I know. But here's some links. Maybe you can email the author's and ask for some more help or details from them too.

RyansPC.com Car MP3 player
David's Car mp3 player

There's a lot of these projects out there, try searching google for linux software car mp3 player

Good luck to ya! And let us know how it turns out!

Thanks
