weird error?

i booted my desktop computer for the first time in 2 months and i get this error while she is loading
NTDLR missing hit any key to restart

i do and same message over and over.

anyone know how to put back this missing file. this computer is running xp prof

I would try booting to the XP CD and choose repair this installation of XP

thanks i think that computer has had enough xp problems already i think i will just reinstall win2k on there i have xp prof on my laptop.

May sound stupid, but make sure there's no floppy in the drive. That's the error you get when you try to boot off a floppy formatted in NT/2K/XP with no boot files on it

Dumb message - can't understand why Microsoft doesn't just TELL YOU you left a non-bootable floppy in your drive....
