Cool demo of Linux XGL desktop makes Vista look like crap...

i installed the suse enterprise desktop and love the XGL interface...it runs fine on a desktop with a ghetto integrated Intel video chipset...but won't on a better system w/ a radeon 9600. it took a bit to get the radeon drivers installed and 3D accel going, but then XGL didn't like it.

I just installed it on my gaming rig (7800GT vid card) and this is awesome. Too bad its gonna expire in a month!! Might have to purchase a copy...................Been flipin windows like crazy hehehe and the tranlucent window drag and screen wobble is kind of cool as well.

Yeah... ATI drivers for Linux == total suck. Nvidia cards are going to run this much better.

What's going to expire? Just install some other distro and install XGL on top of that.

The Suse enterprise installation is trial. Gonna expire in aug.
