Uptime

Post by Braunyaur »

I need suggestions as to how I can give the boss definitive uptimes for my server farm (72 NT/2000 boxes).

I have monitoring software installed, and the data generated is good, but I don't want to build 72 queries in Access to parse this data every day. Is there a proggie out there that will do this for me, or are there any homegrown ideas that can scale to this many servers?

I don't want to use any top tools like NetManage or Tivoli...They give too much of a performance hit for my tastes.

I don't have any answers but another suggestion, try the General Forum at Storagereview , there are many that work in the business and might have an answer.
