Keystroke recorder for personal windows pc

i want to have a reliable keystroke recorder to monitor things that happen on my pc in the event somebody gets access to it wherever i may have it

also, i would want to keep track of things that i do that i may later forget and need to go back and check or verify if i have done it yet

nothing that uses many resources and ad/spyware free is great
