Help!!!!

in one of my systems every time i install windows i can get to the desktop but after i reboot it once i get this mesage (windows could not start because the following file was missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM) its windows xp pro any one know whats up?

I assume you're certain it's a good Windows install CD?

I'd consider these possibilities in this order:

- Bad RAM (Likeliest culprit. run a ram diagnostic like this one: http://www.memtest.org/)
- Bad hard drive
- Bad PSU

also check and make sure the cpu heatsink and fan is seated right - i had that with a cpu heat sink not sitting right !
the Last time I was Talking to myself . I got into such a heated argument . that is why I swore I never talk to that guy again. you know what it worked now no buddy talking to me. :help

its a good coppy of windows i have it on another computer and the hard drive is good i put it in aonther system to check it and it checked out to be fine but ill try all ur other sugjestions
