A question on Linux

Post by Imaxle »

I have heard that Linux is awsome, and many people are thinking about
changing once that new emulator comes out. (The one that allows Linux to run windows
based programs) My question is, I am a gamer and was wondering if I should think
about changing. I have heard that Linux isn't as good for games as Windows, can
anyone prove/disprove this??

I, personally, will stick with Windows XP Pro. Linux doesn't exactly offer A+ driver support. I wouldn't use Linux for a gaming rig, that's for sure... That's just me.

Gaming is the main weak side of Linux and my only reason why my main rig still runs on Win2k. Linux also needs a lil more work compared to M$ OS but the new KDE 3.1 desktop is very nice. The community is currently working to make Linux a nice desktop alternative.
