I'm about to buy a couple Thunderbirds at Atacom. There are 1Ghz Thunderbirds that say they are Axia Batch and 1,333 Mhz Thunderbirds that say Axia Unlocked.

What are they ? I've haven't been up to date lately.

I will be purchasing a 1Ghz Thunderbird and possibly a 1,333 Mhz Thunderbird. Are 1,333 Mhz Thunderbirds good overclockers ?

the axia stepping is the hottest stepping to date and the best for oc - like cco stepping on intel - the 1.33 is unlocked because all the bridges need to be connected under the current l1 configuration to run at that speed (i think) - i just got a one ghz with an older stepping (avha) and it only goes to 1.265 - check the threads over at anandtech in hot deals on the various axia results, etc. people have been buying a lot of these lately

from my minimal knowledge of these, its just as wvjohn says. They are a batch of T Birds that are unlocked so you can mess with the multiplier AND the FSB, and are by all accounts q uite the quickest thing for the money.

According to a site over here in the UK with a good mobo and PSU you can get em to 1.4 easy as pie!

Go get it man! ;)
A little crazy, but safe enough
