Can a P3/450 be overclocked ?

System Specs:
P3/450
128megPC133
Soyo V6BE+ mobo
4meg S3Virge PCI graphics
No sound
No CD
2- 27gig ATA66 7200rpm WD drives
1- 30gig ATA66 7200rpm WD drive

Yes it can. You may get about 550Mhz. You'll be overclocking the fsb so you may have trouble with one of your peripherals.

I tried 112x4.5 and it booted into Win2K but locked up as soon as I clicked on My Comp. Back to 450. LOL
Maybe a memory upgrade would help it. Running 2K Server with 128 megs.

Did you add any voltage to try and stabilize it?

I ran a 450 at 558 close to a year, and once I picked up some PC133 it did the 600 fine. In fact, sold it to someone on here, don't remember now who it was. Good cooling is the key, you'll probably have to bump the Vcore up a notch too.
