Hello all,

I have built several systems in my days, however, I have never gotten into overclocking. I have some questions. I have a 750 mhz Athalon (Slot A) on a Soyo SY-K7VIA mobo. My question is...is this overclockable? Also, about how high can I o/c it before it will become unstable? I have 384 MB of PC-133 RAM, however, it is running at 100, because the mobo has a 100 mhz RAM BUS. How do I go about o/cing this board? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Matt

You should be able to OC it to 900 before needing a cache divisor adjustment. You may want to look into a gold finger with cache divising included. I have a 700 that has a 900 core running at 101x10=1010MHz at 1.87vcore (actual). Taking the case off to install the goldfinger helps with cooling.
