Hey guys I just got a Abit KT7A raid +Tbird combo from Frys for $329 and Everything is working great, except it takes a really long time for Win2k to shutdown or restart.(I used to have a similar problem with Abit p2b-d untill I got its ACPI fixed) What is happening?
Also the board recognized the cpu as 7.5x100 by default(running at 750mhz) I had to change it to 7.5x137 to run at 1 Ghz. Is that right or was my cpu mismarked?

Integer MMX Enh: 4552 it/s
Floating Points 3DNow: 5238 it/s

Just pop the heatsink off and see what the chip says they have there speeds etched into there core. if it is the wrong chip it is time 2 bitch.

I believe when I looked at it, it did say 1000, i'll double check tonight. But is it normal for mobo to default to 7.5x100 for a 1GHZ chip? its a new 266FSB athlon

my a7v and a7v133 both read my 1gigers at 10x100. Not sure about the new flavor of the 266ers though.

If it's a 266 fsb chip, then the multiplier is as you stated, 7.5x. Fsb should be set to 133MHz -> 7.5x133=1000MHz...
Also, the mobo doesn't necessarily detect the correct settings of the cpu, You'll have to set it up maually in the BIOS.
