PPGA wont overclock but lots of boards around

Post by blackhawk »

Lots of the older abits & asus' are great and reasonable. Surprised he's going for the ppga though, much better to go for the fc and run it at 100fsb on those same boards.
Most people are getting out of the slot 1 BX boards now so good availability. Dont really need much for voltage or fsb with the ppga. I like my aopen but am selling it finally for a duron setup.

Any bx6 chipset will do just fine. But you definitely have to watchout for some of the older revision, because you need one that support multipler of 8x.
