I finally overclocked my 1Ghz Thunderbird to 1.32Ghz, pencil trick. Voltage is at 1.8 and running stable so far.

I'm glad I overclocked it, more bang for my buck.

I bit faster framerate in games.

I got higher scores in benchmarkig my ram and harddrives. It's because of the higher bus speed though, not because of the cpu speed.
