On my A7N8X Deluxe Rev 1.04 I use sensor 1 for thje ambient or case temp and sensor 2 for the CPU temp.

I was just trying out MBM5 and got that 125* phantom temp(might be the nvidia chip near the sata/firewire chips)
ur case temp should be 25-30 and cpu/diode should be 30-44 with diode 1-3 higher than cpu.
case ------ asus2
cpu socker- asus1
cpu diode - w38l785ts-s diode

ok which temperature is the real one
the cpu diode right??
dammit i guess im at 50 celsius idle
case 20 celsius
cpu socket 32 celsius
cpu diode 52 celsius
hate those temps.... just reseated my heatsink
i think i managed to butcher the job

Those numbers are very different. Usually my CPU diode temp (temp that is displayed in the BIOS for CPU) is not much higher than the temp in the socket. I had an issue of a high temp that stayed constant no matter what and it turns out it was the wrong signal. The wizard for MBM sucks. I use the same config data I've used for like a year now.

did about an hour of research
and still as dumb as a brick
i did however find out that my psu is lame
i get 12a or somethin like that on my 12v rail
and my pc is oced at 11x200 now
maybe i should go back to stock settings till i get a new psu for the main rig?

Compare your sensor numbers with the numbers in the BIOS, that should give you something to work with.

well to my luck
i removed the heatsink only to realize that it has been burned somehow??
it was one of those zalman cauliflower jobs
the "copper" bottom now has black burn marks through it
as if something was scraping away the copper with a nail
wish i had a camera to show you because its difficult to describe!
now runnin stock cooler at around 55 full load
cant wait till my new hs/f comes in wednesday
