I pulled my 8RDA3+ rev 2.x and installed a DFI Ultra Infinity this weekend. The Ultra Infinity is awesome. It is as good as the 8RDA3+. The best part of this board is in the bios. You can set up the bios and save the configuration within the bios. I haven't explored everything yet but you can use a hot key while booting to choose what bios config you want to use. DFI calls it CMOS Reloaded, pretty cool idea.

**On the sad note: I bought this board because I have an external SATA drive encosure and a USB keyboard that would not work on the 8RDA3+. Well, they won't work on the DFI board either. Must be a nForce problem. Both items work fine on three other non-nforce boards that I had around here.

I am not impressed with the onboard audio. I had to disable it and install my Audigy2.

Did you enable USB keyboard support in the bios?

I've used 2 USB keyboards on an asus a7n8x and shuttle an35n ultra, both nforce 2 mobo's, and with either both usb kb's worked fine.

Try other usb ports?

Yep, keyboard support is enabled. I think it is because the keyboard has a two port USB hub built in. It sure would be nice to use because it is the same as my PS/2 keyboard except for the USB ports. I still don't understand why the HighPoint PCI eSATA card can't detect a hard drive on either of the nForce boards that I tried it on, yet it detects the drive on three older comps. Sent a lengthy email to HighPoint about it but I doubt that they have an answer.

No drivers came with that kb? I'd also contact the kb maker and see if they have any solutions.

I've never messed with highpoint cards so I have no clue there.

It's an HP keyboard. On my laptop and Slot A machine, WinXP finds it and installs drivers for it. It works fine on both of those. On my main comp it says "unknown USB device" and won't work. The only thing available from HP is the software for the multimedia keys on the keyboard. The Keyboard is a made by Silitek for Hewlett Packard. It is an SK-2506U and my PS/2 keyboard is an SK-2506. Oh well, I'm donating it to a co-worker that is in need of a keyboard as cheap as possible. Free is pretty damned cheap too.

I just flashed the Rocket 1511 controller card with the latest bios and it still can't find the hard drive on my main comp. Looks like I'll have to sell it with a warning about nForce boards.

This DFI NFII Ultra Infinity mobo is as good as the Epox 8RDA3+ so far. Cranked it up to 12x200 without any probs. Might have to sell the 8RDA3+ or find a proc, ram and vid card so I can add another folder on my end. What a shame to waste an 8RDA3+ rev 2.x for folding only.
