I have a couple of PIII 700 @ 933+ . What program do you guys use to determine the lowest voltage a cpu will run @ say 933 and be completely stable . These are some of those primo chips from Compuwiz and they run 933+ at 1.85 or less . But I am only going to run them at 933 and I want to run them at the lowest voltage that will be completely stable .
What proggie or app do you guys torture test cpu's with ?

dont know about everyone else but sisoft SANDRA is what i use
it has a BURN IN wizard that benchs over and over

Here is the best way to burn in a CPU
12+ hours of prime95
THEN
12+ hours of UNREAL (not UT) at a high resolution in software mode looping over and over
If it doesn't crash through any of that, consider your system pretty rock solid.

i just let Prime95 run every night for a week on the puppy. if she doesn't crash, then i know it's probably safe to shunt the voltage down a hair.

Hey Skeeter:
Why Unreal and not UT? I have found UT to be one of the best tests for CPU stability, as it really maxes out the CPU. There have been times where I could run Prime95, RC5, SETI, etc. for days on end at a certain voltage, but I could not even make it through one loop of the intro demo in UT. A voltage bump of 0.05v usually did the trick.
I understand about running in just software mode, since the CPU has to do all the graphic rendering. I am sure that the first Unreal maxes the CPU just as much, but more than UT?
