Help with asus mobo.

Its asus mobo P4S533-VM. Problem is i cant get sound to come out. It has onboard c-media. Unistalled and reinstalled drivers and nothing. So i went out and bought pci sound card and still nothing no sound nada. So next step speakers so i tried them on diff pc. They work, tried pci sound card on another pc and it works fine. Any clues or help appreciated.

Isn't there a jumper on the mobo to turn the onboard sound on and off? Maybe it's joshed somehow? Just a thought.. eGo

did you check the bios to enable it in there?

I enabled it and nothing, disabled it to get pci to try to get it to work and nothing on both. Its pissing me off. Thinking of reinstalling windows.

is it showing im the device manager, look for conflicts

Checked device manager, nothing. No conflicts or error on neither sound cards.

Weird, when unistall it and reinstall it, i get beep. then i have to restart and then i get nothing.

Cant believe i had to wait an hour and listen to about two albums on enya, in order to be told is grouding problem, thats full of crock. If it was why are other devices working, why is it that pci sound card doesnt give out sound.

Stupid tech support.
