Hey i recall you posted a link to software to test ram in dos. I need to test ram on a laptop to see if its defective stick.

thanks Nascar, its for Compaq purposes there blaming a extra 256mb of ram for my laptop for overheating and malfunctioning, whats funny is that i sent it to have it tested by engineer and he said that no errors occured i was looking thru diagnostics software and it seems it did have errors, there resulting to lies to cover up tracks and there testing only ran prog once.

There is an update for my Compaq 715US on overheating. They say if it doesn't cure it, then it needs serviced. Mine hasn't overheated this year, it did a few times last summer.

hmmm thank for the update Nascar, problem hp says this unit is working to its specifications when its not, i feel that i will not get anywhere without some proof, doing some check on laws and gathering evidence.
