The new Gigabyte 7NNXP - nForce 2 Ultra 400

Post by Sean »

It has EVERYTHING. hell, it even has this little device that stabilizes your voltage. Onboard Raid, AND onboard Sata raid.. 4 DDR Slots.. One major negative, NO HOLES IN THE PCB. Which, sucks. But, lets hope they are in the final version. ;)

I'm almost tempted to try to return my A7N8X Deluxe and wait for the Gigabyte board. Think it'll oc very well? I'd love all the IDE ports. But, I'm almost ready to buy a new board for my parents, keep my 7DXR and buy a cheap processor for it. Make me a server. :D (for files and stuff).

Arg, I can't make up my mind. :-\

I like it! :)

First I've heard of it and I had been wondering when gigabyte will make an nforce2 mobo.

It's a purdy blue color too. :D

I know. Those blue PCB's really are VERY sweet looking. I still like my 7DXR. One amazing board. I'm still astonished that I was able to get 1.95 Gigs out of it. 150*13. I have ram timings really high too, cause, I mean, it's PC3200 ram in there. LOL

The board looks awesome. But, I'd think it wouldn't be such a great oc'er because of all the onboard stuff.

Gigabytes are natorious for not being good overclockers. But maybe the nforce2 chipset will change that. I'd check over reviews before buying it just in case.

Yeah, not to mention the board will probably be quite pricey. When I bought my 7DXR back in 01, it cost me around $185. :-\

I'm thinkin I'll stick with my A7N8X Deluxe. :)
