P4 SuperCharger???

Post by eGoCeNTRoNiX »

Was watching Tiger Direct on TV last night when flipping through the channels on my aunt's cable, and the guy was selling a "top of the line" as he called it P4 2.4ghz w/512mb DDR.. Well, he said that it had something that could only be bought from them known as a "SuperCharger" which allows you to change the speed of the CPU.. Is this guy just feeding people a line of shit? I assume he's referring to built in software that allows you to change the multis and FSB from within windows.. I have seen that before. Was just curious if anybody else had heard about it. It just sounds like complete BS to me.. eGo

Yeah, that could be possible. However, I don't understand why they include it. I bet they include it, but as soon as a person uses it, it voids their warranty... ;)

Gigabyte has the same progrem, EasyTune. I prefer to overclock the old fashoined way, much more reliable.

Ok.. yous just hit on my ideal #1653356.3

remeber the good old days of the 3/486? remeber the "TURBO" button? why not make a new mobo with one. but here is where it gets good. in the bios, have 2 settings for the cpu. 1 for normal and the second for "turbo". then you can OC your machine and if it gets too hot you can simply push a button and make it back down!

sound good?
