It doesn't come unlocked. I have an Epox 8RDA+ mother board and it has the ability to unlock my XP2400+. Most of the nForce2 boards can unlock them. Go to the link to see how to unlock the chip. http://www.ocinside.de/index_e.html

I have looked in other forums and some say I can change multiplier to BELWO default without need to unlock.
True?

I figured it was only the KT400 and nVidia boards that unlocked them as well. I know my tbred isn't unlocked on my 7DXR (AMD 761 chipset).

Maybe post your motherboard?
