Easier to just get a new board and not take the chance at hosing the board. But if you must do it. Go to amdmb.com forums and ask over there. There's some serious modding freaks over there that will know...

If a mod involves soldering and/or component changes that you haven't any experience with - leave it alone. You'll be glad you did.On the otherhand, If you have some experience working around SMT without any major screw-ups and have good eyes amad a clear plan then by all means Go for it.I don't ever condem the "do it your self" crowd, but be forewarned; It's your board and your problem if you take a risk and meet failure.
