i personally think the Asus CUSL2 is the best one out there for socket chips... my p3 700 runs at 980/1G rock solid whereas my other boards i've had (bx & 815 chipsets) would lock windows up like mad... i've heard good things about the Abit SA6R too. don't have one so can't tell ya from personal experience however.

Best one!

Wont say brands but any brand with fsb choices at 1mz increments from 100 to about 120. Slot 1 boards are cheaper but you'll need a slotkit. Socket boards are newer with more features choices. Asus and abit are mentioned a lot.
