XP2200+ voltage

Post by NascarFool »

Specs:
XP2200+ @ stock speed (13.5x133)
SLK-800 with ThermalTake 80mm SmartFan wired to high speed.

I really didn't think this proc would run at 100% load with the lower voltage. Anyone else running at a lower voltage ?

Temps at 1.65v
Idle = 42ºC
100% Load = 55ºC

Temps at 1.55v
Idle = 39ºC
100% Load = 49ºC

Temps at 11x178 and 1.75v
Idle = 44ºC
100% Load = 60ºC

I've heard that after a CPU gets "burned in" it can run at lower voltages with stability. This was true for my old overclocked thunderbird (now dead), as I could run it @ 1.70 volts stably where before I had to run it at 1.775 for stability.
Welcome to the machine.
