Ok, this isn't big, but i overclocked it to 1.68GHz by upping the fsb to 140. I wanted to give you guys some feedback before I bring it up higher... So far it hasn't locked up, and it is running nicely. The full load cpu temp is 53.5C (128.5F) and the idle is 50-51C (122F). The case temp is about 30C (86F). I am buying an SLK-800 with a Vantec Tornado 80mm 84.1CFM fan. I'm hoping this should keep the temps low

If i find this fan too loud, i'll just use one of my other case fans.

yea Iknow, I got the 81cfm delta. I put it on a switch so I can put it on low medium and high. Loud though.

I have a 68cfm Delta and love it... Its well in my tolerable range for fan noise.

Ok, so do you think i should up the fsb to 142 so it will be an even 1.7? I left the room for about an hour, and i came back and the cpu temp was down to 46.5C (115F). I'm sure with the SLK-800 and the vantec tornado i won't have to worry about overheating

If it were me I would wait to get your new heatsink and fan before going higher. Use the time to really test your system and make sure it is stable. I cant ell you how many times I have over clocked something and declared it stable only to have it lock up or crash and hour later. Temps over 50c make me nervous so I would wait for the new heatsink and really run your system thru the mill to make sure it is totally stable before going higher.

Don't get a Kt333 board randy cause its virtually impossible to see the temps below 50C on load when its reading the internal thermistor on the XP's... Well this is when overclocking too. At default they'll be in the 40's.

I have an XP2200+ currently at stock speed, 41ºC idle and 55ºC full load running UD. It has an SLK-800 with a ThermalTake 80mm Smart fan wired to high speed. I had about the same temps using a CoolerMaster Heatpipe with a 60mm 7k rpm fan.
