i heard somewhere that some people use foam pieces under the motherboard to keep it supported so it won't bend and break. should i do this? my new motherboard came with a foam piece which would be a perfect fit...should i use it?
is the foam piece suspose to touch the bottom of the board?

thx

I've never heard about such a thing ... mobos are supported well enough from the mobotray standoffs.

Definitely not a flat piece of packing foam, that would just hold heat on it or melt by the chips.

Possibly you mean the little cone shaped rubber standoffs with a sticky bottom I have from some old cases. These were meant to be stuck on the mb tray and support the mb where there wasn't standard screw holes for metal standoffs. These were more common with AT cases.
