Hi gang,
Went looking around a few sites and really havent come across anyone who has overclocked a P3 1GhzEB CPU, and was thinking about doing it. I bought this Alpha PAL6035 so I could overclock an Athlon, and never got around to it - it's somewhat overkill for a p3. Anyone successfully done this? BTW, I have an ASUS TUA266 MB if thats any matter, thanks.

Ugh, to many beers and not enough sleep - I didnt really look deep into the forum before I saw a similar Q, so forgive me. BTW, anyone else own an ASUS TUA266 and have weird sound problems with devices connected to USB? I cant figure it out. Anyway, Im actually going to get some sleep now.

my memory is that the eb is already at 133 so you don't have a lot of headroom - i recall cco and cdo steppings going higher - the the database at http://www.overclockers.com and see what others have done

hye i got a pentium 2 1.0ghz@1.25ghz

i overclocked a 1GHz P3, and its not stellar at all. it may have reached 1.1GHz, maybe 1125Mhz, but not much higher. Its not even that stable at those speeds. But then again im using a BX chipset, so im not sure if its the chipset itself. However, i did manage to o'c an 866MHz P3 to 1050+MHz stable on the same board, and thats a big leap of FSB compared to the 1GHz@1.1GHz....
