Hi all, I am upgrading this motherboard for the last time.
I am looking at the celerons 800 to 1 gig?
I havent been up to date on new cpu's etc so what should I get for this mobo?
I have the Newest BIOS update (bh6_SS)
I think it will take an 800 but not sure if it will take a hgigher cpu than that?
also what celerys are good overclockers now?
thanks for any info

I also have the SS bios on my BH6. Running a Celery at 8.5x100 for a year now :) the SS bos alows a multiplier of 12x so i don't see why it shouldnt be able to run the 1.1GHz celeron. The 1.2 celeron have a different core so i'm not shure there...

Yes i think so :) though i don't think it got much less left...and ofcourse, it depends on what type of games u are playing :)
I have a GF2 GTS on it. Checked yester day with quake3. In 1024x768/32 and max quality i got 70fps.
If i changed to Bilinear filtering and lowered a detail setting (cant remember wich ;) ), i went up to 80fps.

Q3 is very smooth.
Serious Sam is fine, but gets a little choppy when the large scale attacks comes.
HL is just fine. Nothing to complain about.
Tribes2 Could be faster, but is still ok at 800x600/32.
Operation Flashpoint is choppy... and its the cpu holding it back :(

Those are the games i can think of... hope that helpes :)

Thanks BUzz, I havent got a cpu yet but I will soon I think Ill get the 950 or so.
This is going to be the COmp for my kids to use so at least my son will be able to run most games.
thanks again
The local pc stores say that he doesnt think even a 1 gig will work cause its a different design and its bigger or a different fcpga bridge? so I think Im safer to try a 900 or 950
