Temp report- A7A266

Post by NascarFool »

I got a Compunurse and a CPC-30370 heatsink today from KD Computers. I ordered the parts Sept. 13th and got them Sept. 17th. The compunurse probe is installed so that the tip of the probe is touching the edge of the core. There is a 6ºC temp difference compared to Mother Board Monitor. The Compunurse shows the lower temp. The new heat sink dropped temps about 5ºF. I am impressed. This is on a Athlon 1.33GHz. :D

What are your actual temps?

I have a tbird 1.4 with a heavy copper sink and it came with an airplane fan which cooled it to 91-96 max. Replaced the too-loud fan with a quieter thermaltake one and the temp jumped to 111-116. But a few days later I checked and it's hoovering around 105-107. Must be that "break-in" period.
