disabling onboard sound

hey guys...
i was thinking of installing a new sound card into my ibm system that has a 810 board with integrated sound...
would i need to disable the onboard sound before i install the new sound card?
the system doesn't go into the BIOS when i hit del so i have no idea how to disable the sound...
help?

there should be some way into the bios - just have to figure your way around the splashscreen- with my hp at work i just booted and pushed function keys, etc til i found it

there may be a jumper on the mobo as well
