Cheap Socket A mobo problems

Post by jocycliff »

I got a cheap mobo for my wifes computer. It is a compaq pipeline-1. I have no other info except that it is a a version of the FIC AZ-11. I have a problem with some system properties
1. Other devices-PCI Input Controller has code 28. No driver for this device. Well I have no disk and have given up on Compaqs website. Would I be able to use the FIC's drivers?

2. System Devices- Advanced Power Management Support--The VPOWRD.VXD device loader for this device--driver issue--Again boils down to drivers see above question.

Tried the Via 4 in 1. Still no good. Still have the problems in properties. The comp is acting flakey as well. Locking up after windows is loaded. At shut down I get the "it is now safe to shut down the comp" screen and I have to shut it down manually and of course I get the comp wasn't properly shut down.

Any one have any ideas?

Thanks
