im kinda new at this, so takin it slow....2200 @ 1.94 (13.5X144) and 1.65v temp at around 32C (idle). dont wanna push it till i upgrade the stock cooling.
i got a quick quiestion...should i keep increasing the fsb or bring the multiplier down first?

i slowly find my max fsb , then i back off and find my max speed, then do lots of benchmarking
250 fsb x 10=2500 is faster on my rig then 13*200 @2600 is

I know it could go higher, but my RAM starts to flake out at higher FSBs. Maybe someday I'll put some faster RAM in their and buy a better HSF, but doesn't Doc say you need a 30% increase in CPU speed to "feel" a difference in the system? I doubt I'll be able to squeeze 2.7Ghz out of a 1.6Ghz stock CPU. ;)

ok im a bit of a noob when it comes to this so looking for some help. I have just upgraded to a corsair 512mb ddr 400. at the moment i am running an xp2000+ (1662) the problem is that the max i can get out of the processor is 1680 i am running the memory on the mobo (NF7 v1.x) by SPD (400mhz was stuck to 266 until i turned its to SPD) the processor is a 133 (266) does anyone have any ideas how i can bunk it up a bit? i have an aero 7 lite cooling fan and its rated to Xp3000+ so im sure i should be ablt to get a few more mhz? just nice reach 2.0gz lol

this is how its setup at the moment

133 X 12.5 ( doesnt seem to be able to change from that ) = 1662

thanks again

IQYHA 0348 SPMW 2600+ Mobile

W/C with DD Maze waterblock. DFI Infiniti Ultra.

This one is for my every day surfin' stuff.

I'll check on another HDD for pics of another 2600+ that runs 3 Ghz for me
under phase-change. It's also an IQYHA 2600+ Mobile. And on a DFI Infiniti
Ultra also.

Have recently built a S754 and a S939 to replace these Socket A units.

Time to move on.

Pops.
